Each March and August, the faculty of Management and Economics organizes the Bochum International Spring/Summer School (BISS) – an excellent opportunity for both undergraduate and graduate students to take additional classes at the end oft the semester.

As an international spring and summer school we are proud to host lecturers from various countries including the U.S, China and Turkey. We are constantly trying to find a balanced mix of courses from the fields of both management and economics. The guest lecturers offer courses they usually teach at their own universities such as business ethics, financial modeling or economics of population thereby enhancing the range of courses offered at our faculty. Each course is credited with 5 ECTS.

In addition to the academic aspect, BISS is a fantastic chance for you to improve your language skills as all courses are taught in English. The number of participants is limited to 30 per course in order to create an intensive learning environment and to facilitate for in-depth discussions.
