Teaching - Summer term 2019


In summer term 2019 the chair for Economic Policy and Applied Econometrics offers the master-module "Applied Economic Policy". The Seminar will be held in English.

Topic: Climate Change Mitigation –
Finding Effective, Efficient and Accepted Policies

Topic 1: National Climate Policies under the EU ETS I - The Waterbed Effect and the Market Stability Reserve
Topic 2: National Climate Policies under the EU ETS II – Augmenting Flexible National CO2 Taxes
Topic 3: Who Bears the Costs? - Distributional Effects of Climate Policies

The seminar is limited to 12 students (first come first serve).
Interested students are invited to attend the kick-off meeting - 15.04.2019 12:00 (s.t.) GD 02/156.
Registration before the kick-off meeting is not required.

The block seminar is expected to take place at June 26, 2019 at the RWI-Essen.

Participants need to sign up for the seminar in the FlexNow system before May 31, 2019.

Deadline for paper submission is June 23, 2019.

In the seminar each student will develop an individual research question, write a seminar paper and present it during the block seminar, which will take place at the end of the semester. After the presentation we will have some time for discussion and the students should be prepared to answer questions regarding their seminar paper and presentation.
