Overview

In summer term 2018 the chair for Economic Policy and Applied Econometrics offers the master-module "Applied Economic Policy". The Seminar will be held in English.

Topic: Digital Transformation and the German Labor Market -
Threat or Chance?


Subtopics:
Topic 1: New tasks, new skills – Digitalization, labor demand shifts and job polarization
Topic 2: Empowering people for the digital transformation – Digital education and lifelong learning
Topic 3: Digitalization and demographic change – Amplifying trouble or opposing trends?


The seminar is limited to 12 students (first come first serve).
Interested students are invited to attend the kick-off meeting - 23.04.2018 10:00 (s.t.) GC 02/120.
Registration before the kick-off meeting is not required.

The block seminar is expected to take place at June 6, 2018 at the RWI-Essen.

Participants need to sign up for the seminar in the FlexNow system before May 9, 2018.

Deadline for paper submission is June 1, 2018.

In the seminar each student will develop an individual research question, write a seminar paper and present it during the block seminar, which will take place at the end of the semester. After the presentation we will have some time for discussion and the students should be prepared to answer questions regarding their seminar paper and presentation.
