Der Lehrstuhl für Wirtschaftspolitik und angewandte Ökonometrie bietet im Sommersemester 2017 das Master-Modul "Applied Economic Policy" an. Das Seminar wird in Englisch gehalten.

Topic: Climate Policy after Paris 2015 – Efficient Ways into a Sustainable Future

The Renewable Energy Law (EEG) – Effective but Inefficient?
Too many Cooks Spoil the Broth – Interaction of the EEG and the EU ETS
Solitary Solutions for a Global Problem – Efficiency Losses due to a Lack of International Cooperation

The seminar is limited to 12 students (first come first serve).
Interested students are invited to attend the kick-off meeting - 26.04.2017 10:00 (s.t.) GC 03/46.
Registration before the kick-off meeting is not required.

The block seminar is expected to take place at June 13 and 27, 2017 at the RWI-Essen.

Participants need to sign up for the seminar in the FlexNow system between May 1 and May 31, 2017.

Deadline for paper submission is June 4, 2017.

In the seminar each student will develop an individual research question, write a seminar paper and present it during the block seminar, which will take place at the end of the semester. After the presentation we will have some time for discussion and the students should be prepared to answer questions regarding their seminar paper and presentation.

For an overview of the topic we recommend the annual report 2016/2017 of the German Council of Economic Experts:
