Welcome to the chair of Empirical Economics

Research and teaching of the chair of Empirical Economics focuses on evidence-based economic policy in a variety of different fields. Specifically, predominantly microeconometric methods are used to evaluate different policy measures with a focus on issues in labor market, education, and population economics. Concerning teaching, the aim of the chair is to teach students fundamental knowledge about identification strategies which allow them to obtain insights in causal relationships. Furthermore, the chair offers different lectures in labor economics, economics of migration and various seminars and courses in applied economic policy.
