Online teaching in the winter semester 2020/21 (updated: 12.10.2020)
- We will offer our modules almost 100% online. As usual, we will offer you lecture slides (which are very text heavy and are almost a script), exercise sheets and, depending on the module, sample solutions of all tutorial exercises.
- We will also offer screencasts to the slides and online support hours. The online support hours will take place during the planned slots of the modules (you find these slots below).
- Given the topics and the content of our modules, we see no other sensible evaluation method than a traditional written exam. We hope that the coronavirus pandemic will allow to hold the exams during the regular exam period in February 2021 or as early as possible after that. However, this depends on how the coronavirus situation evolves, and we cannot make any fixed commitment about the date of the exam, because this does not depend on us.
- The semester will start on Monday, 26 October 2020 for all modules, except first semester modules which start one week later on Monday, 02 November 2020.
- The Moodle courses will open on Tuesday, 27 October 2020. You will not be able to join a course earlier.
- To join a Moodle course, please use the password delivered by the FSI password distributor.
- You will find detailed instructions in the corresponding Moodle course. We will use the online conference software Zoom.
- Until the end of October, please be patient. There is no need to register for any module or any exam. Unless you have an urgent personal matter, there is no need to contact us. Everything will be explained in detail at the beginning of the semester.
- Stay safe and stay healthy. See you soon online!
